Laszlo Bruszt is Director of the CEU Democracy Institute. Between 2004 and 2016 he was teaching at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His publications focus on issues on the politics of economic transformations. His more recent studies deal with the politics of economic integration of the Eastern and Southern peripheries of Europe. He has co-edited Leveling the Playing Field: Transnational Regulatory Integration and Development (Oxford UP) and The Transnationalization of States, Economies and Civil Societies. New Modes of Governance in Europe (Springer). He also co-edited special issues for the Review of International Political Economy and Studies in Comparative International Development. His latest publications appeared in Journal of Institutional Economics,West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy and Review of International Political Economy.
