Prof. Dr. Ivo J.M. Arnold is Professor of Economics at Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) and at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He currently serves as Head of the Economics department at ESE. He is also Associate Editor of the Journal of International Money and Finance.

He received his Master’s degree in Economics (with honors) from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam in 1988 where in 1996, he also obtained his PhD with a thesis on European monetary policy. 

His main research interests are European monetary and financial integration, financial intermediation and economics education.
