Ilaria Gambardella is a PhD researcher at the Institute for European Law – KU Leuven and
at the Centre for European Law – Université libre de Bruxelles. Her research is founded by
the FWO (Research Foundation Flanders, grant agreement n° 11B7523N) and focuses on the
application of EU Charter in the framework of EU funds. Ilaria obtained a Master’s degree in
Law from the University of Naples Federico II (summa cum laude) and an LL.M in European
Law from the Institute for European Studies of the Université libre de Bruxelles (magna cum
laude, first class honours). Her research interests include EU constitutional law, EU
fundamental rights and EU funding governance.
