The fifth Jean Monnet PROSPER Network event was hosted by the Faculty of Law at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), in partnership with Maison Île-de-France, Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, on 27–28 November 2025.

This conference, titled “The Clean Industrial Deal: Defending the EU’s Economic, Social and Environmental Model” brought together leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the evolving dimensions of the EU’s industrial policy.

Discussions addressed the proposed Clean Industrial Deal, reflecting on how the European Union seeks to balance competitiveness, sustainability, and strategic autonomy. Speakers examined the legal, fiscal, environmental, and external dimensions of EU industrial policy in a shifting geopolitical landscape, combining technical insights with a broader reflection on the European model of prosperity and sustainability.
