The Luxembourg Centre for European Law at the University of Luxembourg will host a two-day conference titled From CMU to SIU: Stalled European Financial Integration on 5–6 March 2026, bringing together leading scholars to examine the political, economic, and legal dimensions of financial market integration in the European Union.

The programme is structured around six thematic panels:

• Conceptualising Financial Market Integration

• Widening the Parameters of European Financial Integration

• Building European Supervision to Support Integration

• Legal Complexities and Lacunae in Financial Market Integration

• The Underpinnings of Financial Market Integration

• Regulatory Politics and Financial Market Integration

Across these sessions, participants will explore developments in areas including Capital Markets Union, financial supervision, green finance, digital infrastructure, supranational debt issuance, and the evolving regulatory architecture underpinning European financial integration.
