The Dublin European Law Institute (DELI) announced the publication of a new book by DELI and PROSPER member Dr John Quinn (Assistant Professor of European Company), The Societal Company: Sustainability, Shareholder Value, and European Company Law, published by Hart Publishing.

The book analyses the EU’s evolving approach to company law in the context of increasing sustainability ambitions alongside renewed competitiveness pressures. It examines the tensions between these objectives and develops a case for a reflexive model of company law capable of accommodating both policy goals.

The publication contributes to current debates on the future direction of EU company law at a time of significant policy recalibration in the areas of sustainability and competitiveness. It is available here.
